the greeks called it kenosis
and so we have come to this

we cannot think
we have forgot
this is now our
appointed lot

trapped now by time
weakened by choice
knowing freedom
and loss of voice

why should angels
ravens be made
thought takes wing
memories fade

the greeks named it tragedy
yet it is how you are set free
